As part of the NEF Post Investment Department’s overall monitoring strategy, a mentorship panel has been established to provide professional financial, managerial, accounting, technical and related support to the NEF’s Investee Companies.The professional mentorship services to be provided are in line with the NEF’s commitment to sustainable Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment and the NEF’s focus on skills transfer and transformation to ensure that the NEF’s Investee Companies are sufficiently skilled to independently run successful businesses in the future. SABRI has been appointed to the mentorship panel of the NEF.
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is a specialized agency of the United Nations dedicated to eradicating rural poverty in developing countries. Its headquarters is in Rome, Italy and the agency is a member of the United Nations Development Group. Seventy-five per cent of the world’s poor live in rural areas in developing countries and IFAD’s primary mandate is investment in the development of rural communities through agricultural programmes. SABRI was appointed by IFAD to conduct impact assessments on projects implemented in rural Swaziland and Lesotho, as well as to participate in the development of country-level rural development programmes.
KNEAD is a baking enterprise specialising in the fresh foods sector, e.g. bread baked daily, pastries, confectionary, canapés and pizza. The KNEAD business consists of a brand (holding) company and seven associated bakery and coffee shop stores nationally, as well as a small wholesale division. KNEAD appointed SABRI, in collaboration with PVG, to provide support with the implementation of the company’s roll out strategy, particularly training in effective financial management, business plan development, on-going mentorship and business coaching, corporate governance and monitoring and evaluation.
The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) is government institution that provides finance for industrial development projects, playing a catalytic role in promoting partnerships across industries within and outside our borders, promoting regional economic growth.They do this by proactively identifying and funding high-impact and labour-intensive projects that Leads to the creation of viable new industries. They utilize diverse industry expertise to drive the growth in priority sectors and take up higher risk funding projects that corporate investors will not support. SABRI has been appointed to the mentorship panel of the IDC.
SABRI was appointed by ABSA as their BBBEE training partner, training small business in business planning and marketing. It succesfully implemented these programs between 2018 and 2020.
SABRI worked alongside GIBS in 2019/2020 in the presentation of business development planning and execution.
